League of Legends
This was a very popular cinematic for a very popular game. Again we did our Blur cartoony style of stylized proportions coupled with realistic surfaces.
For this show I modeled Annie. This character was originally given to an offsite freelancer, however due to scheduling issues and client demands it was brought back in house.
The client wanted a complete costume change and I re-modeled her face. I was not too fond of her original head and wanted to capture more of an innocent and adorable doll feeling. I think the book bag, strap decorations, and hair sculpt we kept from the original model. I also modeled the facial expression morphs for her.
One interesting side note is that I gave her a jade bracelet. My mother is very fond of jade jewelery and used to show me every new piece she got when I was a kid. I dunno why, but it popped into my mind that Annie should wear jade as well.
This character was made around summer 2012. Poly modeling was done in 3ds max, textures in Mari, sculpt in ZBrush and rendered with VRay.
