Squadron 42 - Rebecca Trejo
Trejo is a character I worked on for Squadron 42. I worked on the head, hair and helmet for this character.
The head is based on a scan of an actress. The scan geometry and maps were provided by a third party vendor. The assets we got were not quite polished enough to be final.
My work on the head was to look dev and finish it. This involved polishing the sculpt by redoing the pores, reworking the eye area and changing facial features to make it more appealing. I made the eyeball and the structures around it. I also polished the textures quite a bit, including re-projecting from photo source.
I created the card based hair for Trejo. This wavy bob style was a challenging hair to create. The modeling of the wavy clumps while preserving negative space in depth was pretty difficult.
The hair was groomed with our in house hair tool. The eyelashes and brows are geometry from XGen.
In the engine renders that you see to the right, Trejo’s head, hair and assets I worked on. Trejo’s costume was made by my friend Tyler Young.
